As a community-driven, community-powered and community-funded site, we are on the look out for more ways to help the community. We wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for all your collective efforts, so it only seems right that we give back what we can.
If you have a campaign–either through a crowdfunding site, selling limited-edition merch, or providing league-branded services specifically to raise money–for a specific cause, we want to help you promote it to the community.
We’re going to devote around 50% of the advertising space we have previously used to promote things internally across DNN to promote your fundraising campaigns. All you need to do is send us images (jpgs, pngs or gifs) in standard ad sizes, and we’ll put it in the rotation.
Your campaign promotion will then be seen by thousands of derby fans across the world.
The rules are simple: your campaign must be for a specific cause, and it must have an end date. This cause can either be travel funding for a specific event or season, a new venue, or a specific investment in your league or facilities, such as a new floor.
Generic open-ended campaigns for league funding in general won’t be accepted and we also won’t (for now) be running ads for individuals’ fundraising campaigns to get people to pay for them to attend events in a personal capacity.
You have to make the ads yourselves–and they should fit into any of our standard in-page ad units, which are 300×100, 300×250, 300×600 and 728×90. Also: the only branding allowed on those ads is your league and the campaign; we won’t accept any ads which act as adverts for businesses as part of this programme.
We also reserve the right to refuse individual ads or whole campaigns on grounds of taste, decency, honesty, and the like.
These things may change after we have run and tested this for a while–and we will deal with each campaign on a case-by-case basis where they don’t fall neatly into the categories above.
