DULUTH, MN–Brewcity barely squeaked past Brandywine to take 7th place at the first D2 playoffs with a 186-174 win. While Brewcity held a respectable, if not comfortable, lead at the half, Brandywine surged out of the locker room to to take the lead ten minutes into the second period–only to see the game tied with two minutes to play. Brewcity’s Carabunga put on a blocking clinic in those final minutes, allowing Frank Hurt’r to retake the lead and secure the win for her side.

DULUTH, MN–Treasure Valley controlled Brewcity through the entire bout but didn’t beat them by as much as last year’s playoff game. While Brewcity struggled to settle into a solid jamming rotation, Treasure Valley could have benefited from playing a little more offense–especially with another game this weekend and jammers’ legs to think of–but they still ended up on top, 187-92.

DULUTH, MN–In the five times that Brewcity and Omaha have played each other since 2010, the Bruisers have always come out on top. Until today, the closest game was last May by 34 points. In the opening game on day two of playoffs, it looked like Brewcity was going to easily take the win again as they systematically worked up a 46-point lead by the half.

DULUTH, MN–Sin City got the better of the game’s opening exchanges as both teams got used to the surface and surroundings, but not by much. Brewcity struggled throughout to keep defensive cohesion with initially strong-looking walls breaking up under minimal movement from Sin City jammers.
