EUGENE, OR — The three-time defending Emerald City champion Andromedolls (2-1) beat a battered Flat Track Furies (1-3) team 103-60 to earn a date with Church of Sk8in (2-1) in the June 9th ECRG 2012 championship game. The Furies were forced to add two visiting skaters, Skatesaphrenic Rocka Rolla and fresh meat Danger Graves, to bring their roster to twelve. Four of the Furies (Rocka, Terrin Skirtz, Medusa Harm, and Ambruisia) were skating in their second bout of the night after helping the Emerald City all-star Skatesaphrenics win.

EUGENE, OR. – In a non-sanctioned bout against the Bay Area Derby Girls home-team ShEvil Dead, the 12W Emerald City all-star Skatesaphrenics used strong pack control to pile on the points during the many trips ShEvil Dead jammers took to the box. Despite keeping their penalty box crowded with blockers, Emerald City dominated from start to finish winning 206-102.

EUGENE, OR — For the first 15 minutes of Saturday’s bout between NOtown Roller Derby (Fresno, CA) and Emerald City’s local squad Flat Track Furies, it looked like it would be a as close as last year’s overtime affair in which the Furies were victorious. For the remainder of the bout, though, it was clear the Furies were hurting with only 12 skaters on their roster and two of their veteran skaters injured. For much of the second half, NOtown piled on their lead, climaxing with a 171-105 victory.

EUGENE, OR — There are few rivalries as fan-pleasing as that between Emerald City’s home teams Church of Sk8in and the Andromedolls. Though the Dolls have now won nine in a row against Church, the bouts are always chocked full of lead changes and intense game play. Saturday night’s bout before a sell-out crowd of 1200+ was no different. After squandering a 36-point second-half lead, the Dolls were able to take the victory on the final jam, 103-99.
